Carolyn’s passion for Dentistry was sparked in her teenage years, when she worked as a Dental Nurse in her father’s General Dental Practice. She also had a keen interest in both art and science which continues in her work as an Orthodontist. After graduation, she moved into Hospital roles in Paediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Surgery in Scotland. In 2003, she sat further exams (MFDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Carolyn then undertook Orthodontic Specialist Training for 3 years in Newcastle and Carlisle. She gained an Msc in Orthodontics with Distinction in 2007 and MOrth from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2008. She was awarded the Nigel Carter Memorial Prize for best clinical cases in her Msc in 2008.
Carolyn moved to Yorkshire in 2008, where she has worked ever since, in Orthodontic Specialist Practices in Wakefield, Huddersfield and Leeds.
Carolyn is hard working and conscientious and has a special interest in aligning unerupted teeth. She also is experienced in treating anxious patients in a calm, empathetic and relaxed manner.Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys walking and cycling with her husband and daughter.
