Natalie Read

Natalie combines her work as a specialist orthodontist at Portman Smile Clinic with her Associate Orthodontic Specialist role at the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

Natalie graduated with honours from the University of Leeds Dental School in 2008. During her vocational training year, she was awarded the British Society for Disability and Oral Health new graduate prize. Natalie went on to work as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the Royal Cornwall Hospital where she gained her Membership in Dental Surgery. She worked in community and special care dentistry before undertaking her specialist orthodontic training at the UCL Eastman Dental Hospital and Institute, London. During her training she achieved a Master Degree with Distinction and in 2014 gained her membership in Orthodontic from the Royal College of Surgeons (England).

After qualifying as an orthodontist Natalie returned to Cornwall with her family. Natalie enjoys treating a wide variety of cases from the alignment of crowded teeth to the treatment of complex multidisciplinary cases in children and adult patients.
